In February, I sat down with author, writer, blogger, and consultant on aging and senior issues, Carol Bradley Bursack to discuss her book and her own personal journey as a family caregiver.

Her book Minding our Elders: Caregivers Share Their Personal Stories is a collection of personal experiences in caregiving from a number of remarkable family caregivers.  Included, Carol shares her own journey caring for her father Brad as they both navigate a new phase in his life with dementia.

Carol has cared for a neighbor and six elderly family members, she knows first hand the challenges that come with taking care of a loved one. Now, she uses her personal experiences to help advocate for and educate family caregivers through her writing.

She is nationally recognized for her work as an elder care consultant and is a member of the National Caregivers Advisory Panel, the Caregiver Action Network (CAN) and the National Council of Hospice and Palliative Professionals (NCHPP).
